Trauma Therapy

Psychological trauma can impact your life years and decades after the triggering incident or circumstances. A traumatic event is one in which you perceive a threat to your life, bodily integrity, or sanity and feel utterly overwhelmed in reaction to these threats. Trauma therapy will allow you to face your past and release it, reduce the symptoms and stored pain in order to live in the present.

EMDR Therapy

You may have heard of friends who swear by EMDR. It has become a popular therapeutic approach as individuals are living the benefits of the treatment. EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is a comprehensive and powerful therapeutic protocol which relieves many forms of psychological discomfort. It involves an 8 phase approach to reprocess traumatic information which will reduce or, usually, remove the distress which has been stored inside your body, nervous system and brain. This past trauma or PTSD subconsciously sabotages your current life experience without you even knowing it. EMDR is a process which I highly recommend as it has shown such effective results. With EMDR, I have been able to treat hundreds of clients with PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), sexual abuse histories (and other traumatic events), panic disorders and grief .  EMDR is a relatively quick, efficient and extremely powerful form of psychotherapy.
